Keep me accountable!

Okay, so 6 weeks ago I joined Weight Watchers with my mother-in-law and so far I have lost 10lbs. Woohoo, right? WRONG! I am so discouraged right know. I feel like losing the 30lbs of weight I desire to lose by my birthday on July 18th (yes, of this year) is so unattainable! I have been doing prtty well so far, but the last week or two I have noticed I have been allowing myself to cheat a little more then normal and going over my points a bit. Which, one of the best things about WW is, on top of the daily allotment of points you get there are also 35 extra points (per week) that you can have - sort of like overdraft protection. haha. I very seldom use my "overdraft" points, but I have been lately and thyat really bugs me. I hate how much I love to eat! Ugh.

Anyway, I just needed to vent about my frustration a bit. I am totally going to stick with WW because I think it is the perfect type of "diet" for me - it allows me to eat whatever I want, just in moderation. And while I have seen the quick results like I would have likes, 10lbs is better then no lbs at all, right.

Lyla's turning 2!!!

Well, it's official, by baby girl is turning 2 on March 25th!! I can't believe it. Where does the time go? It seems like 2 years just flew by, literally! Well as a wonderful birthday gift to my darling daughter, our Friend Blake took some gorgeous pictures for her! I was so please with how well she did and how well Blake did with capturing some somewhat seldom smiles we see from Lyla. Here are a few for your viewing pleasure...ENJOY!

Things are looking up!!

Well, first, I would like to send a huge CONGRATULATIONS to my husband! He accepted a great job offer today! I am so proud of you, babe!
Second, things are well underway for Operation Update House 2010! We are all moved in and settled (for the most part) and loving the new house. I love walking in the door after work and having the wonderful feeling of "home!" I love that I have arranged everything in my kitchen to my liking and know exactly where everything is. I love that Lyla has her own area play with all of her toys. I love how much Toby loves running, jumping and playing outside with his new friend, Yoshi, next door! I love that we bought and older home, so we can update to our specific taste! Most of all, I love how this house is OURS (well, technically)!
Lets see, what else. Oh yea, Lyla will be turning 2 on March 25th. What? I can't believe how quickly 2 yrs has gone by and how much Lyla has changed. My dad said today, our baby girl has turned into a big girl!! That makes me really sad...a good sad though. We will just be having a little party with family, food and yummy birthday cake. Mark and I are not sure what Lyla will be getting for her birthday yet. Perhaps lots of little toys, or her very own comfy couch, or maybe even a little playground. Any idea's?
