Almost halfway there...19 weeks!

How Far Along: 19 weeks

Size of baby: About 8.5 ounces and around the size of my hand from head to bottom.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am up 15 lbs (don't you judge me).

Maternity Clothes: Oh, yea! I love wearing dresses with leggins this time around. Jeans are too uncomfortable. Not to mention, I have managed to lose two pair of maternity jeans (one pair, twice!)

Gender: IT'S A BOY BOY BOY!!!

Movement: Yes, finally! I don't feel consistent kicks but I do feel a lot of movement! At my ultrasound the tech said I have an anterior placenta which just means it could take longer for me to feel big kicks from my boy.

Sleep: Some nights are better than others. Most nights I have to get up once (at least) to use the restroom but other than that it's not too bad right now. Now, I will say, it takes me forever to find a comfortable position to fall asleep in.

What I miss: The ability to sleep on my belly!

Cravings: Nothing specific yet...

Baby numero dos!

How Far Along: 14 Weeks

Size of baby: about the size of a lemon

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +7 pounds (BOO!)

Maternity Clothes: Some pants but I am really trying to utilize the goriousness of the belly band (which is currently MIA)

Gender: Not sure yet. We will likely find out on December 5th! :)

Movement: Not yet...I don't think...hopefully within the next few weeks!!

Sleep: I am in bed super early most nights (when Lyla cooperates) but up at least twice at night to pee. Not sure why, but I am also tossing and turning at night a lot at this point.

What I miss: Lots of things! My body looking and acting "normal", drinking a McD's coke without feeling guilty, NOT feeling nauseated all the time (ugh!), my energy, and the ability to run longer than a mile without feeling winded.

Cravings: Today? Papa John's breadsticks and cheese sauce...yummy!

Lyla's going to be a BIG SISTER!!

Greetings!

Yes, I know it's been a while.

I just wanted to take a second and tell all my readers (all 2 of you) that Mark and I are expecting another baby, to arrive sometime near the end of April. We are beyond elated with this fabulous news and are so excitied to finally share it with others!

Leaves, leaves and more leaves!

So, this past weekend we worked in the yard a bit--not one of my favorite things. Mark, Mary (mother-in-law) and I raked all the several thousands of leaves that have fallen from our ONE, yes one, tree in our front yard. While Lyla was taking her nap we worked as hard as we could to get as much done before she woke. Well, as we were working on our last 3 huge piles of leaves, Mark thought I should wake her to let her play in the leaves before we raked the rest of them up. Great idea!!!! She had a blast and, I have to admit, so did we. Take a look for yourself...

We really had so much fun together...and that's wshat it's all about, folks!! Mark and I have realized, over the last year, how precious our time with Lyla truly is. How, in the blink of an eye she will be grown and on her own raising her own children (Lord willing). We have also realized what is most important in this short time on earth--and that is NOT money, big houses or fancy cars--but the ability to find joy in the saddest and darkest of times. God is so good and am thankful He has blessed me with an amazing husband, child and life! I deserve nothing...to God be the glory!!

HELLO, there! Oh, how I've missed updating my blog...wonder if anyone else has missed me?!
Anyway, there has been a ton happening with the Ramsey's in the last couple months: I got a new job at IUSM Dean's office as the Executive Assistant for the Dean of Educational Affiars, my mom and step-dad where in a horrific car accicent (both doing well now), Markie and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary and little Miss Lyla is talking up a storm...really talking!! I guess that brings you up to speed, kind of!
I know it has been a while, but I am just going to post a few cute pics for now. Let's face it, though, that's all you want to see anyway, right? :)
